So the farce continues ...
On arrival at the tip with a car full of material to recycle I attempted to park to the right as usual (since my car like many does not fit under the barrier) but was prevented from doing so by the jobsworth onsite. Apparently due to the closure of Rose Hill tip for the remainder of the year, the tip is simply too busy for us to park there ... of course when I was there I was the only car present. I was therefore advised that I should park on Torkington Road. I was also told that trailors would no longer be accepted at weekends.

Does not surprise me in the slightest. Sometimes I think that the staff there are having a competition to be as unhelpful and unwelcoming as possible!!
